Meloo Privacy Policy
Meloo is a Chrome extension for multi-platform content distribution. This page explains what data Meloo processes, why it is processed, where it is stored, and whether it is shared.
Overview
Meloo helps users prepare content once, then open supported publishing pages, fill content, upload assets, and assist with publishing across multiple platforms.
What Meloo Processes
- Content entered by the user, including titles, body text, images, and media selected for publishing
- Draft data saved locally by the extension
- User-selected target platforms and destinations such as subreddit or group selections
- Limited account profile information retrieved from supported platforms, such as username and avatar
- Authentication-related browser cookies only to determine login state or perform user-requested actions
- Web page content from URLs the user explicitly asks Meloo to import
- Tab URLs and page state needed to open, reuse, and control publishing tabs
How Meloo Uses Data
- Importing content from a URL the user provides
- Checking whether the user is logged in to a supported platform
- Showing the user's connected account identity inside the extension
- Loading platform-specific publishing targets when required
- Filling publishing forms on supported sites
- Uploading images or media selected by the user
- Helping the user publish or auto-publish content when explicitly requested
- Saving drafts and sync history locally on the user's device
Data Storage
Meloo primarily stores working data locally on the user's device, including extension state in
chrome.storage.local, local browser storage, and extension-local IndexedDB data.
Data Sharing
Meloo does not send user data to a Meloo-operated backend server. Data is sent only when required to provide user-facing functionality, including requests to supported platform domains and certain remote image handling flows.
Meloo does not sell user data to third parties.
Cookies and Authentication Data
Meloo may read authentication-related cookies from supported platform domains to determine login state, fetch the user's own profile metadata, load publishing target lists, and complete publishing actions the user has explicitly initiated.
Browsing Activity
Meloo may access page content, page URLs, and supported publishing pages only to the extent necessary for features the user explicitly uses, such as importing content, opening a supported publishing backend, filling a publishing form, uploading assets, and confirming a publish result.
User Control
- Users choose whether to import a page
- Users choose which platforms to connect and publish to
- Users choose whether to use fill-only mode or auto-publish mode
- Users can remove the extension at any time
Security and Retention
Locally saved drafts, sync history, and cached metadata remain on the user's device until they are overwritten, cleared, or the extension is removed. Meloo uses HTTPS requests where platform workflows require network communication.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated as the product evolves. The latest published version should be used in the Chrome Web Store listing.
